If time permit, after relax at the hotel, start your tour of Delhi by visiting Gurudwara Bangla Sahib (Sikh Temple) in the centre of Delhi. A beautiful white building flanked with a golden dome and a pool (sarovar) inside the complex, is one of the main worship places for Sikhs. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast in the hotel, proceed for a full day tour of Old & New Delhi visiting the beautiful Humayun’s Tomb of the Mughal era & predecessor of the world famous Taj Mahal, the Jama Masjid, the greatest mosque in India completed in1658 by Shah Jahan the builder of Taj Mahal, rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk and the Raj Ghat, the simple memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, the father of nation. Later after lunch in your hotel or at a local restaurant, drive past the stately government buildings of the British Era designed by Edwin Lutyen’s including the India Gate & the Parliamentary Buildings. Also visit 72.5 meters tall towering minaret of Qutab Minar. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Delhi airport for flight to Indore. Arrive Indore and transfer to your hotel. Later in afternoon, visit Lalbagh Palace built in 1886 AD as the residence of Maratha Holkar royal family. The palace has Italian white marble columns, grand chandeliers, Old Persian carpets, Belgium stained glass windows, Greek mythological reliefs, stuffed leopards, and tigers. Later visit seven storey Rajwada which is another fine example of royal grandeur and architectural skills of Maratha Holkars. Kanch ka Mandir or Temple of Glass is a Jain temple constructed in 1903 AD. Externally, the temple is built as a medieval mansion complete with a canopied balcony while the interiors are entirely covered by glass panels and mosaics; including the floor, columns, walls and the ceilings. After breakfast, drive to Maheshwar en-route visiting a small fortress town of Mandu famous for its architectural buildings and structures. Visit Jahaz Mahal or Ship Palace constructed between two artificial lakes is so named as from a distance it looks like a ship floating in the lake. The palace was constructed in 15^th century as the Harem for the sultan of Delhi. Hindola Mahal – meaning Swing palace is so named due to its sloping side walls and was constructed in 15th century AD is a part of the palace complex and was used as Hall of public audience. ami Mosque built in 1405 AD is a notable example of Pashtun ( Afghan ) architecture. Inspired by the great mosque of Damascus, this enormous structure is striking in both its simplicity and architectural style-with large courtyards and grand entrances. Baz Bahadur Palace was built in 16th-century  is famous for its large courtyards encompassed by large halls and high terraces. Hoshang Shah’s Tomb in Mandu is India’s first marble structure and is the excellent example of Afghan architecture. Its unique features include the beautifully proportioned dome, intricate marble lattice work. Continue driving to Maheshwar and Overnight at hotel.

Maheshwar being on the banks of river Narmada has the reputation as of Varanasi of central India because of its numerous old temples and rituals including arti (puja) at the ghats of Narmada River. Maheshwar served as the capital of Maratha Queen Ahilya Devi Holkar who constructed her palace, fort, numerous temples and ghats (steps on river banks). Ahilya Bai Fort & Palace was built by Queen Ahilya Bai of Holkar dynasty. The fort and palace on the banks of river Narmada has beautiful courtyard and terraces while the walls are beautifully carved. It is said that there are more than 100 temples all spread along the banks of the river and in the vicinity of the fort. Akhileshwar temple built on the banks is dedicated to god Rama. The walls of the temples are carved with images of Maratha soldiers and elephants. Walking along the ghats on the banks of river during sunrise and sunset when Hindus do their religious rituals is a great experience. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast, Drive to Bhopal, capital of Madhya Pradesh. En-route visit Omkareshwar temple dedicated to God Shiva. It is one of the 12 revered Jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva. Arrive Bhopal and overnight at hotel.

After breakfast, drive to UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sanchi. Buddhist complex at Sanchi haa a Buddhist Stupa – typically containing relics of the Buddha or of his followers. The Stupas of Sanchi were constructed on the orders of Emperor Ashoka in 3rd century BC to preserve and spread the Buddhist philosophy. The glorious Sanchi Stupa is believed to be the oldest stone structure in the world. Continue driving to Udayagiri Caves of early years of the 5th century AD. Udayagiri Caves complex consists of twenty caves, of which one is dedicated to Jainism and all others to Hinduism. The Jain cave is notable for one of the oldest known Jaina inscriptions from 425 CE, while the Hindu Caves feature inscriptions from 401 CE and has ancient monumental relief sculpture of Vishnu in his incarnation as the man-boar Varaha. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast, visit rock-cut caves and shelters at Bhimbetka , a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These caves and shelters exhibit the existence of human life in Indian sub-continent and evidence of stone age. According to Encyclopedia Britannica, These are  “rare glimpse” into human settlement and cultural evolution from hunter-gatherers, to agriculture, and expressions of spirituality. Some of the Bhimbetka rock shelters feature prehistoric cave paintings and the earliest are about 30,000 years old.These cave paintings show themes such as animals, early evidence of dance and hunting. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast, transfer to airport to connect flight to Delhi / Mumbai. Arrive Delhi / Mumbai airport and enjoy our hospitality at VIP lounge where you can take shower, food and beverages before a long flight to home.
