Arrive at Kathamndu International Airport
Arrive Kathamndu International airport. Our representative shall meet you upon arrival for further transfer to hotel.
Kathamandu Valley – Kathmandu Darbar Square, Swoyambhunath Stupa and Patan Darbar Square
After breakfast at hotel, visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is a UNESCO Wolrd Heritage site and has palaces of the then Royal family, ancient temples, courtyards and small alleys which date back to 12th and 18th century including Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju Temple (dedicated to Goddess Durga), residence of Kumari (a living goddess). Visit Swoyambhunath Stupa, which means “self-created”. Swoyambhunath is believed to have been established more than 2,500 years ago. The history of Kathmandu Valley is said to have started with the beginning of Swoyambhu. The largest image of the Sakya muni Buddha in Nepal is in a monastery next to the stupa. Behind the hilltop is a temple dedicated to Manjushri of Saraswati – the goddess of learning. Statues and shrines of Buddhist and Hindu deities dot the stupa complex. Visit Patan, one of the three cities in Kathmandu Valley famous for its fine arts. Patan Durbar Square is a UNESCO Heritage site. Visit Krishna Temple, Golden Temple along with other different temples and courtyards which surround the Palace area. Overnight at hotel.
Kathamandu Valley -Bouddhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple and Bhaktapur Durbar Square
After breakfast in hotel, Visit Bouddhanath Stupa which is among the largest stupas in South Asia and is the focal point of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal. The white mound looms thirty-six meters overhead. The stupa is located on the ancient trade route to Tibet, and Tibetan merchants rested and offered prayers here for many centuries. Drive to Pashupatinath Temple which is one of the biggest Hindu temples and dedicated to Lord Shiva, located on the banks of the Bagmati River.Witness cremation ritual of Hindus at ‘Aryaghat’, the cremation area of the temple. Further visit, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, UNESCO World Heritage site. Bhaktapur or “the City of Devotees” still retains the medieval charm and visitors to this ancient town are treated with myriad wonders of cultural and artistic achievements. The past glory of the Malla rulers continues to be reflected at the Durbar Square. Nyatapole Temple (dedicated to Goddess Durga), Dattatraya Temple, 55 windows Palace, Golden gate are the most beautiful monuments to visit in Bhatapur Darbar Square. In the evening, enjoy a dinner in a restaurant with traditional Nepali dances. Overnight at hotel.
Kathamandu – Bungmati - Khokana – Kirtipur
After breakfast, visit Bungmati, a traditional Newari village – a place where not much has changed over the last couple of centuries. As you walk the streets, you will find hundreds of masterful wood carvers and sculptors offering you excellently hand-crafted items at bargain prices. The Bungamati Newar enjoys an incredibly rich culture which extends over the fields of language, writing, art, architecture and even trans-Himalayan commerce. Visit Khokana village situated just north of Bungmati. It is a tiny Newari village with a reputation for two things – mustard oil and the local temple. Also visit Kirtipur an ancient city with its brick-paved streets lined with typical red brick houses and tiled roofs, and temple squares – is a natural fortress. The Chilamchu Stupa and the temple of BaghBhairav are major attractions here. Overnight at hotel.
Kathamandu – Home (Flight)
In time, transfer to Kathmandu International Airport for your onward flight to home.
